This application is only for employees who have retired from a teaching position within Twin Rivers Unified School District.
Substitutes are ‘on-call’ employees serving on a day-to-day basis. Be advised that absences are unpredictable; therefore assignment offers are not guaranteed.

Employee Type: Full Time and Part Time
Salary: Full Day (4.0 hours or more) $429; Part Day (3.99 Hours or less) $214.50
Basic Function
Under the direction of a site principal, principal’s designee or other appropriate administrator, plan, implement, monitor, and assess a classroom instructional program
License, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required
A valid, current Credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit issued by California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is required.
CalSTRS Retirees:
Pursuant to Education Code section 24214.5, there is a 180-calendar day separation-from-service requirement for all retired CalSTRS members, regardless of age, during which the postretirement compensation limit for the performance of retired member activities is zero dollars ($0).
Sections 24214 and 24214.5 of the Education Code impose limitations on retired CalSTRS
members who return to work and perform retired member activities.
Education Code section 45134 precludes retired CalSTRS members and retired CalSTRS
participants from employment in classified positions in the California public school system.

The working environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position will include office and school environments.
Contingent Upon Hire
Candidates must provide proof of a negative TB reading (no older than 4 years), have a valid teaching credential/permit on file with CTC, and possible live scan fingerprinting for DOJ (Required if out of service greater than one year within Twin Rivers USD).
