2026 Summer High School & 829 Program, CTE Teacher
Summer school employees will receive one day of sick leave credit for summer school service; if summer school sick leave is not used, it may be carried over by the Member to the regular school year. (Article 19.6 in the TRUE contract)
Summer school employment is at will and may be terminated by the district. (Article 19.4)
Summer school hourly rate is $60(Article 19.7). Summer school teachers will be paid to arrive 15 minutes before student arrival and to stay for 15 minutes after student dismissal, based on the hourly rate in section 19.7 (Article 19.8).
All programs are conducted IN PERSON.
Employees must be able to work the full assignment.
Qualified applicants will hold a valid CA Multiple or Single Subject Services credential with an English Language Learner Authorization in the subject area they are requesting to teach.
High School Teacher:
✔ Two summer Professional Development Sessions TBD (approx. 2 hours each)
✔ Opportunity for extra hours the week of June 9th through June 13th to support Seniors
✔ Program will provide online credit recovery using Edgenuity or a specific academic subject
8-2-9 Teacher:
✔ Two summer Professional Development Sessions TBD (approx. 2 hours each)
✔ Subjects covered in this program are Health and Ethnic Studies
Work Year: Summer School
Salary : 4.5 hours/day, hourly rate of $60, 0.5 hr. Duty-Free non-paid lunch
NOTE: June 19th and July 3rd are Non-Workdays for Certificated Positions
