Substitute Police Officer - School Resource Officer
Position Summary
Directly responsible to the police services administrator in conjunction with school site administration; perform school District police duties, in and about the school sites and other District-owned and operated properties.
Work Year: Continuous
Employee Type: Full and Part Time
Salary: $35.44 per hour
Hours: On Call
Substitutes are ‘on-call’ employees serving on a day-to-day basis. Be advised that absences are unpredictable; therefore assignment offers are not guaranteed.
Experience
Must be twenty-one (21) years old by the filing deadline. Two (2) years prior law enforcement experience is desired.
Education
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Associate Arts Degree or equivalent is desirable
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required
- Graduate of the Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.)
- Basic Academy are required. Basic Academy and Training as identified in California Government Code Section 1031. No Felony convictions under California Government Code Section 1029. Must be a US Citizen.
